- Social media profile information
- Precise or approximate location (GPS)
- Photos, contacts, microphone or camera access

Anonymous Usage and Diagnostic Data
The Application collects anonymous Usage Data and Diagnostic Data through PostHog, a third-party product analytics service. This information helps Us understand how the Service is used and to identify and fix bugs and crashes. Examples include:
- Application lifecycle events (e.g., app opened, manifest loaded)
- Reading interaction events (e.g., book added, book opened, reading progress, search performed)
- Source health events (e.g., parse failures, search failures)
- Application crash logs and uncaught error stack traces
- Device information automatically collected by the SDK: operating system version, device type, application version
A randomly generated anonymous identifier (UUID) is associated with these events to group events from the same Device for analytical purposes. This identifier cannot be linked back to a real-world identity, contact information, or any government-issued ID. It is not the IDFA or IDFV.
Use of Your Data
The Anonymous Usage Data and Diagnostic Data is used for the following purposes only:
- App functionality — to ensure the Application operates correctly, recover from crashes, and provide reliable features.
- Analytics — to understand how features are used so We can improve the reading experience.
- Error tracking — to detect, diagnose, and fix software defects and crashes.
We do not use Your data for advertising, remarketing, profiling, or training machine learning models. We do not sell or share Your data with third parties for marketing or any other commercial purpose.
Retention of Your Data
Anonymous Usage Data is retained on PostHog's servers for as long as necessary for analytical purposes and may be deleted earlier upon Your opt-out. We do not retain copies of this data on Our own infrastructure.
Transfer of Your Data
Anonymous Usage Data is processed and stored by PostHog on servers located in the United States (https://us.i.posthog.com). We rely on PostHog's compliance with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA where applicable) as a Service Provider.
Your Right to Opt Out
You can opt out of all anonymous analytics and crash data collection at any time from within the Application:
Settings → 資料與隱私 → 改善 Chapterly (toggle off)
Once opted out, the PostHog SDK immediately stops sending events and crash reports from Your Device. The change is persisted and applied on every subsequent launch.
Disclosure of Your Data
We do not disclose Your data except in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers — We use PostHog as a Service Provider to perform analytics and crash reporting tasks on Our behalf. PostHog's privacy policy is available at https://posthog.com/privacy.
- Law enforcement — We may disclose Your data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).
Security of Your Data
The security of Your data is important to Us, but no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. All data transmission between the Application and PostHog uses HTTPS (TLS).
Third-Party Content
The Application may load and display content from third-party websites (e.g., book sources that You choose to browse). When You access content from these sources, You are directly interacting with those third-party servers. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit.
The Application does not store, host, or redistribute any book content on Our own servers. All book data is fetched from the original third-party websites on demand and cached only on Your Device.
